How To Order

Information on the Aspen Systems web site is designed to assist you in evaluating our products and to explore different system options. When you contact our sales department or request a quote, your information is sent to an Aspen Systems sales engineer and who will review your request and get back to you with suggestions that will provide the ideal cost effectiveness and performance for what you're looking for. The sales engineer can discuss your particular application and suggest any modifications to help you achieve higher performance and/or lower your cost by utilizing alternative peripherals.


Here are the general steps you may follow when ordering a system or product from us:

    3. Fill out the System Price Quote Request Form

  1. Receive an official quote from Aspen Systems - the official quote may be used to:
    • Review the system configuration and make further modifications. Aspen Systems has thousands of separate system peripherals available which are used to build our custom systems.
    • Place an order by referencing the quote number.
  1. Place an order by:
    • Contacting us directly by phone, FAX, or e-mail.
    • Sending payment (see below) or a Purchase Order. In most cases, Purchase Orders from academic institutions and government facilities do not require a credit application. All other entities and individuals will require a completed credit application before the purchase order is accepted. See more about payment terms below.
  1. Receive your new system within:
    • Standard Shipment: often 1-2 weeks via FedEx, UPS, or independent carrier (see below)
    • Large cluster configurations: often 2-6 weeks (see below)


PAYMENT TERMS

Aspen Systems accepts the following payment methods:

  • Purchase Order (Net Terms) - Available for government, educational institutions, and businesses/individuals with pre-approved credit only.
  • Credit Card - MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Credit card purchases are billed at the time the order is shipped. All sales are in US Dollars.
  • COD, company, and cashier's checks with prior approval.
  • Money order (prepay only).
  • Personal check - Please allow (5) five working days for check processing (prepay only).
  • Business Lease - Leasing is available for all business purchases (subject to credit approval).
  • Wire Transfer


TAXES

Purchaser shall bear all applicable federal, state, municipal, and other government taxes (such as sales, use, and similar taxes), as well as import or customs duties, licenses fees, and similar charges.



INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Terms and conditions for international orders are the same as domestic orders, with the following additions and exceptions.

  • Payment must be made in US Dollars (USD)
  • Products are regulated by the United States Department of Commerce and are subject to export regulation
  • Letters of Credit
  • Wire Transfer
  • Checks in advance
  • International CODs are not available for payment


SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Delivery will be made based on an agreement set between Aspen Systems and the customer, FOB Aspen Systems (unless otherwise specified).

Aspen Systems will make all reasonable efforts to meet the expected delivery dates. However, since each system is built to order, delays may occur which are beyond our control.

Standard shipping carriers are Federal Express (FedEx) and United Parcel Service (UPS). For larger orders, Aspen uses commercial freight carriers to ensure the safety of the equipment. The customer is required to examine all goods promptly upon receipt. Claims for shortages or damaged goods must be made within (5) business days of receipt. The customer shall notify Aspen of all claimed shortages or damaged goods. Such notice shall be reasonably detailed, stating the grounds for any such rejection. Failure to give such notice within the specified time shall be deemed an acceptance in full of any such delivery.
