Myrinet-2000 Interfaces

Fiber cables plug into the front panel of this M3-SW16-8F port line card. The other edge of the card plugs into the backplane.

The Myrinet-2000 interface includes a fast RISC processor to execute the Myrinet control program, a versatile DMA controller to support zero-copy APIs, and a complete set of high-availability and data-integrity features. The 64-bit, 66MHz, Myrinet / PCI interfaces are "universal". They function correctly in hosts with 32-bit or 64-bit PCI slots, with either a 33MHz or 66MHz PCI clock, and with either 3.3V or 5V signaling.
