Computer Manufacturer Technician

Aspen Systems, Inc., a premier HPC clustering & storage solutions manufacturer, has an immediate opening for an (HPC) High-Performance Computer Manufacturing and Assembly Technician. You will assemble advanced computing technology in our manufacturing environment in an ISO9001-2015 & ESD S20.20 facility. Candidates must possess constant energy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of computer hardware and software such as Linux and Windows operating systems. Physical requirements for this role include standing, sitting, walking up to 7 hours a day, lifting, and carrying up to 70lb. Repetitive tasks, reaching, pulling, and pushing at times, are required. You should always be in good physical shape and health for this role.

Job description and responsibilities:

· Receiving shipments at our dock and properly entering in part numbers and serial numbers into our ERP system. · Properly issuing out components to jobs and orders. · Assembling servers and other high-performance systems by installing motherboards, inserting processors, RAM, storage devices, networking cards, GPGPUs, and other system components. · Ensure proper cable management inside systems. · Updating system firmware such as the BIOS and configuring the settings. · Ensure all components show up in our in-house burn-in and QA environment. · Install basic Linux and Windows images. · Rack and stack systems, switches, KVMs, UPS’s, PDUs, etc., into racks and neatly cable up everything via Ethernet and/or other high-speed networking. · Follow a systematic approach with problem-solving, debugging, repair, and troubleshooting of all systems, balancing power distribution units, and auditing finished products before shipping. · Boxing up and shipping final products and ensuring any special shipping methods are adhered to. · Match up, process, create, and turn in complete paperwork from receiving to shipping. · Inventory counting and management. · Contact manufacturers and distributors to request RMAs and ensure they are processed promptly. · Follow ISO and ESD policies and procedures. · Provide input and suggestions on the currently implemented training material. · Basic warehouse and office maintenance.

Applicant requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. · Pass drug testing, including marijuana, and be drug-free. · Have reliable, personal transportation. · Your able to travel out of state at times. · You can be available for occasional overtime work. · US Citizen The ideal candidate has: · Worked in a data center environment and has experience assembling and troubleshooting servers. · Racked and stacked systems. · Experience with Epicor ERP software. · Worked with Tier 1 or 2 companies. · Strong attention to detail and on-time performance  

Education:

Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent experience
