The software-defined data center architecture enables a fully automated, zero-downtime infrastructure for any application, and any hardware, now and in the future.
Aspen Systems partners with VMware, a global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility, accelerates our customers’ digital transformation journey by enabling enterprises to modernize data centers and master a software-defined approach to business and IT. With server virtualization, organizations are creating exceptional experiences by mobilizing everything, responding faster to opportunities with modern data and apps hosted across hybrid clouds, and safeguarding customer trust with a defense-in-depth approach to cybersecurity.
vSphere helps you get the best performance, availability and efficiency from your infrastructure and applications. It’s the ideal foundation for any cloud environment. vSphere is the industry leading virtualization platform. It serves as the foundation for the software defined data center, and gives you choice as to how to build and operate your cloud environments.
vSphere with Operations Management takes virtualization to the next level with intelligent operations management. It provides you better insights, resulting in improved performance and availability.
vSphere allows you to virtualize applications with confidence, redefine availability, transform storage for virtual machines, and simplify management of your data center.
vSphere Hypervisor is a free bare-metal hypervisor that virtualizes servers so you can consolidate your applications on less hardware. The vSphere Hypervisor, known in many circles as “ESXi”, for the name of the underlying hypervisor architecture, is a bare-metal hypervisor that installs directly on top of your physical server and partitions it into multiple virtual machines. Each virtual machine shares the same physical resources as the other virtual machines and they can all run at the same time. Unlike other hypervisors, all management functionality of vSphere is done through remote management tools. There is no underlying operating system, reducing the install footprint to less than 150MB.
Horizon View is desktop virtualization that runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The desktop runs on a virtual machine running on top of the ESXi Hypervisor, and allows users to access that desktop from multiple devices with a single sign on, while still having access to local devices, drives, USB ports, and device peripherals.
View Composer and View Manager allow for advanced management and administratio of the View environment, with the ability automation tasks and clone desktop instances, while the View Client allows for communication between the user and the instance containing the desktop OS.
NSX and NSX Data Center is a network and security virtualization platform for the software defined data center. It is able to abstract network resources so administrators can allocate resources in real time when and where they are needed.
Provide additional context to NSX to aid in defining network segments and enable faster responses to risky behavior using AppDefense, which communicates with NSX tol alter policies for quarantining and logging. AppDefense protects applications running in virtualized environments. threat detection and automated response. Create models for normal application behavior and monitor for anomalous activity, and provide application control, reputation scoring, and security.
Formerly Virtual SAN, vSAN is a hyper-converged, software-defined storage (SDS) system that pools together direct-attached storage (DAS) devices across a vSphere cluster to create a distributed, shared data store.
vCenter Server provides a centralized platform for managing your vSphere environments, so you can automate and deliver a virtual infrastructure with confidence.
